Kangan: Manzoora Begum, mother of Riyaz Ahmed Wani (JKAS), Officer on Special Duty (OSD) to the Chief Minister, passed away on Monday morning at her residence in Iqbal Abad, Kangan.
Hundreds of mourners participated in the funeral prayers. Nasir Aslam Wani, Advisor to the Chief Minister, was among those who attended and offered condolences in person.
She was the wife of the late Ghulam Mohammad Wani and the mother of Imtiyaz Ahmad, Ajaz Ahmad, and Riyaz Ahmad. The Wani family is widely respected in the region, and her demise has plunged Kangan and the adjoining areas into deep mourning.
A large number of friends, relatives, and well-wishers visited the bereaved family to express their condolences and share in their grief. Local residents, members of civil society, and numerous government officials also extended heartfelt sympathies.
Bureau Chief of Gulistan News, Saleem Wani, expressed profound sorrow over the demise. In a heartfelt condolence message, he extended his sympathies to Riyaz Ahmed, Imtiyaz Ahmad, and Ajaz Ahmad, praying for strength and patience for the family to bear this irreparable loss. He also prayed for eternal peace for the departed soul.
