GANDERBAL: 05th September: Continuing its efforts to eradicate the menace of drugs from society, Ganderbal Police apprehended a drug peddler during routine patrolling at Preng in the jurisdiction of PS Kangan.
A police party intercepted a suspicious person, who was later identified as Farhad Khan S/O Mohd Arifeen Khan R/O Gujarpati Preng. During his personal search, Contraband charas-like substance was recovered from his possession on the spot.
Accordingly, a case FIR No. 58/2025 under sections 08/20 NDPS Act has been registered at Police Station Kangan and investigation has been set into motion.
Ganderbal Police remains committed to its mission of making the district free from the scourge of drugs and appeals to the general public to come forward and share any information related to drug peddling or other anti-social activities.
