Ganderbal: joint market checking drive was conducted today in Kangan market by a team comprising Police, Executive Magistrate, and the Food Safety Department to ensure compliance with government regulations during the holy month of Ramadan.
During the drive, various food business establishments were inspected to check proper rate display, quality of food items, and hygienic conditions. The team also reviewed the availability of essential commodities in the market.
Shopkeepers were directed to strictly follow government guidelines, avoid overpricing, and maintain proper sanitation and hygiene at their establishments. They were also advised to display rate lists prominently for the convenience of consumers.
The drive was carried out to safeguard consumer interests and to ensure the smooth availability of essential commodities for the public during Ramadan.
