Ganderbal: A sudden fire broke out in the double-storey residential house of Mohammad Akram Sheikh, son of Ghulam Mohammad Sheikh, resident of Gund, in central Kashmir’s Ganderbal district on Wednesday.
Fire and Emergency Services personnel rushed to the spot and managed to douse the flames after hectic efforts, preventing the fire from spreading to nearby structures.
However, the rooftop of the house was completely damaged in the incident. Fortunately, no loss of life or injuries was reported.
The cause of the fire is being ascertained, and local police have taken cognizance of the incident.
