Anantnag: A black-coloured Wagon-R car (2006 model) bearing registration number JK03A-4281 was reportedly stolen near the Tehsil Office, Bijbhera, on Feb 5, 2026, at around 6:00 PM, Victim said.
The car owner said, that Soon after the theft, the stolen vehicle was reportedly seen moving along the Qazigund Highway and was later sighted near Alstop, Mir Bazar. Further inputs suggest that the car was also seen at Hyderpora Star Service Station, and subsequently at the Shalteng Petrol Pump.
He further said that the accused is allegedly using the stolen vehicle to get fuel filled at petrol pumps and fleeing without making payment, raising serious concerns and suspicion.
The matter has created panic among the public, and efforts are underway to trace the stolen vehicle and identify the person involved.
The owner has appealed to the general public for assistance.Anyone who spots the vehicle or can help identify the accused is requested to immediately contact 9419051806.
Police have been informed, and further investigation is expected in the matter.
